The Hagerstown Aviation Museum encourages the participation of volunteers who are interested in helping to preserve our local aviation history.  We thank you for your interest and encourage you to complete the Volunteer Application and Survey below so that we can best fit your skills and interests to the needs of the museum.

  • Building construction skills
  • Aircraft restoration or maintenance
  • Clerical or administrative help
  • Exhibit and display set up
  • Tour guide or host duty
  • Archivist or stored-artifact care
  • Housekeeping or custodial service
  • Public relations or communications
  • Grounds keeping 
  • Souvenir tent / Gift shop sales
  • Gate duties (ticket sales, attendance records)
  • Traffic control (car parking, directing)
  • Event safety crew
  • Grant research and writing
  • Aircraft keeper at events
  • C-82, C-119, C-123 guide
  • Website / Facebook management
  • Bookkeeping and accounting
  • Museum committees (publicity, event, fundraising, ect.)
  • Developing publications
